Michael Lapico is a Canadian artist whose work is inspired by travel, his subconscious mind and nature. Michael has been creating fine art for over 30 years and studied at the University of Windsor and College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. He is also co-owner of an advertising agency in Detroit, Michigan.
Michael experiments with abstracts, portraits and landscapes in various mediums including oils, acrylic and watercolors. He creates artwork at an accelerated pace and embraces bold splattered lines and brave colors. After years of studying different styles and techniques, he’s now using acrylics as his chosen medium of expression.

The Hiatus House would like to thank Local Artist Mike Lapico for his very generous donation of original artwork including these two large pieces and 14 smaller pieces of original work that will certainly enhance our space and brighten the days for the women and children we serve.
Artist Mike Lapico Brightens Up HDGH’s Regional Children’s Centre
Mike Lapico, a talented Canadian artist with over 30 years of experience, has generously donated three of his vibrant paintings to HDGH’s Regional Children’s Centre. These works of art will be proudly displayed in the Huot Building.
Mike’s art is inspired by his travels, his subconscious mind, and the beauty of nature. He experiments with abstracts, portraits and landscapes in various mediums including oils, acrylics and watercolours. A co-owner of an advertising agency in Detroit, Mike’s passion for fine art continues to drive his creativity.
